Emotions serve as a bridge between our inner being and our physical existence.
What does it mean to follow your intuition?
It means following your feelings. When you feel positive emotions about a person, an offer, or an event, it indicates that this is your path. Conversely, when you feel negative emotions about certain people, events, or situations, it suggests that this is not your path.
It's quite simple. If we listen to our brain and logic, we are merely comparing things based on what we've learned about specific situations or people. But what if what we've learned isn't aligned with the path of our soul? What we've learned is often shaped by our environment, systems, or society, which, while sometimes beneficial, isn't always the best guide.
When we rely solely on logic, we might make decisions based on a pros-and-cons list. For instance, we might logically evaluate a job opportunity, a potential partner, or a situation and feel that the decision makes sense. But, over time, we might realize it was completely wrong because we didn’t have all the information, and we missed crucial details. In these cases, logic leads us to mistakes because it doesn’t always consider the unseen, deeper truths.
When we follow our intuition, our feelings guide us in a completely different way.
But here’s something I often hear from clients:
"I followed my intuition, but it led me to very challenging situations. I had to work hard, had little free time, and I could’ve chosen an easier path. I even chose a partner that I love, but he gives me so many problems."
To this, I would say: the harder path doesn’t necessarily mean the wrong one. What we choose based on intuition can often be difficult, but it’s also necessary for us to face and overcome certain things, and in doing so, it contributes to our growth.
A partner chosen by intuition might not be our “final” partner, and the relationship might not be easy, but it's often something we need to experience to mature, to gain wisdom, and to transform ourselves in some way.
In other words, we can’t change what we refuse to face within ourselves. Listening to intuition leads us to directly confront ourselves, often revealing deeper truths we would otherwise avoid.
And now, here’s another question: What’s the point of all this?
Isn’t it easier to live a comfortable life without all of this inner work? Of course, it is, and we can choose that path. We can live based on logic, automating our decisions and avoiding deeper introspection. That can be fine sometimes, but it doesn’t lead to progress.
By following our intuition, we achieve a sense of fulfillment. So, if you ever feel empty or unfulfilled, regardless of what you have or do, there’s your answer. Your intuition is the key.
