There often comes a moment in life when we ask ourselves who we truly are and what we are doing with our lives. This can relate to various aspects such as our professional life – career, family life, the people we spend the most time with, our place of residence, and so on. What truly matters is not when we ask these questions but that we ask them at all, and even more importantly, that we find the right answers.
When we focus on discovering who we truly are, how to listen to ourselves, and what our path, purpose, talents, and potentials are, we begin to uncover the answers through the work of clearing blockages in the sixth chakra, also known as the Ajna or third eye chakra. This chakra is located between the eyebrows and is the first place I work on when performing Reiki treatments. This is not by accident, as the awareness of reality and understanding of ourselves is the most important thing before we begin working on other chakras.
By working with this chakra, we open ourselves to learning how to listen to our intuition, which provides us with the best guidance for where our lives should go, who we are, and what our potential and talents are.
When we rely on our brains to make life decisions, what we are generally doing is comparing our current situation with what we've learned and experienced in the past. During this process, our brain compares our possible choices with what we have been taught, and when it aligns, we tend to choose that option. The problem arises when what we’ve been taught and what is truly in our nature do not match. In such cases, we may make a logical decision regarding a partner, career, place of residence, or friends, but we still feel unfulfilled and uncertain about why we are dissatisfied. The answer lies in the fact that we did not listen to ourselves – our intuition – but instead followed the learned programs in our brain.
Another crucial point regarding this energy center and ensuring the smooth flow of energy through it is the acceptance of the universal principle of duality. It’s said that where there is light, there is also darkness; in other words, life consists of various circumstances. Once we understand that all of these circumstances must be accepted with the same calmness, we can shine at our brightest. This may sound contradictory, but the truth is that many illnesses, like cancer, stem from our inability to accept certain life circumstances that we deem “bad.”
However, what I prefer to call "challenging circumstances" are, in fact, our lessons. They serve to help us master something and allow us to progress. Without these experiences, we would never move forward. If everything were smooth and harmonious, we wouldn’t experience anything, we wouldn’t overcome any challenges, and we wouldn’t have the opportunity to transform, improve, and progress. And that’s precisely why these challenges exist.
The best way to learn is through experience, and that is why we are here – to experience life so that we can learn certain lessons and accomplish certain tasks. When we truly understand this, everything becomes easier, and life becomes a game. The anger, resentment, and pain dissipate, along with poor mental health and physical illness.
I believe this is enough for now. Think about it.
