The Forbidden Dream

Meeting, common, intertwined,
lightly touching, carelessly.
The gaze is hazy, and fixed,
forgetfulness burning in the mind.
Closeness takes away breath,
words only to bury the fear.
The heart, desperate for relief,
crashes into the tresses of desire.
A crooked smile, strained,
longing trembles, nonchalant.
On the finger, a chain like a golden trace—
tradition, form, morality...
Morning comes, watching the clock,
the forbidden dream extinguished once more.
Inevitable, ordinary parting,
back to a new, ordinary day.
