We were walking one ordinary afternoon,
seeking a bit of nature.
We kicked tired autumn leaves
and stumbled along the lonely roads.
You laughed playfully, with your head thrown back and messy hair.
You left a tower and a signature on the riverbank,
dipping your palms in the shadows of autumn.
Your steps were curious, full of questions,
about how to fly, and the meaning of clouds.
Could they be touched,
shaped, stolen, kept?
Then, you secretly reached out your hand
and tore off a piece of the most beautiful cloud.
You will keep it for a long, long time,
hidden in the sky of your green eyes.
